We believe that God connects with people through all types of community and relationships, in nature, at home, at work, through the internet, and through churches too. Wherever you are, God is there and so is All Places Together.
God loves whoever you are and we do too. We believe that God’s transformational love is alive in all people. We are a queer led and affirming community that is committed to the ongoing work of anti-racism and anti-ableism.
We acknowledge the challenges of mental health and know that faith comes with a lot of questions and doubts.
The ministry of All Places Together is coming to a close. I have accepted a new, full time call to serve as an Assistant to the Bishop of the Virginia Synod. This along with a number of other factors, including lack of financial sustainability, lead to the hard decision of concluding this ministry.
I’ll be doing one last podcast series in the month of September as a chance to celebrate the ministry of All Places Together and bring all our voices together on this platform one last time. The focus will be the Fruit of Spirit. A list of characteristics that Paul lists in Galatians 5 that describe what it looks like when live in God, belong to Christ, and are guided by the Spirit. Details on how to add your voice are on social media!
All Places Together’s last Zoom Communion will be on Monday, August 18.
I will continue to gather the Parents of LGBTQIA+ Children Small Group. If you aren’t on that email list and you want to be, email me as soon as possible. I’ll be moving that email list soon. We’ll still meet on August 25.
Thank you so much for all the words of kindness, gratitude, and support that y’all have shared with me both in response to my new call and about the ministry of All Places Together over the past four years.
I look forward to hearing your stories, sharing some of mine, and celebrating God’s love for us, wherever, whoever, and however we are.
Peace, Pastor Colleen
